Bristol police log for 8/27: Forgery, other arrests reported in Bristol

BRISTOL — Bristol police informed the public of three recent arrests officers made in town.
Following an extensive investigation, an officer on Aug. 10 cited Lorrie A. Fundis, 46, of Bristol for forgery and for giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
In August 2014, Bristol police were notified of an alleged forgery in that Fundis allegedly filed divorce-related paperwork with the Addison Superior Court bearing the signature of her husband without his consent. Police also allege that as they investigated, she gave them false information. Fundis is due to answer the charges in Addison Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Aug. 31.
Meanwhile, on Aug. 12 police cited Steven Paul Bright, 47, of Bristol for a felony violation of an abuse prevention order. Bristol Police Chief Kevin Gibbs on Aug. 22 reported that a California court last December issued a final abuse prevention order that forbade Bright from contacting a former domestic partner.
Bristol police alleged that Bright violated the abuse prevention order at least 151 times between February and August by text message. Based on a prior conviction for domestic assault, the violation was enhanced to a felony, Gibbs reported.
Finally, police responded to a citizen dispute on West Pleasant Street on Sunday, Aug. 23, at around 5:20 p.m. Police ended up citing Dale Vanleuven, 54, of Bristol for simple assault, and issued her a notice against trespass for a West Pleasant Street home.
