Feedback sought on EPA lake cleanup plan

The EPA’s newly released TMDL targets for phosphorus pouring into Lake Champlain are now subject to a month-long comment period.
The EPA, together with the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and the Agency of Agriculture, will jointly conduct public meetings to solicit feedback on the EPA’s new TMDL targets and the state’s plan for meeting those targets. The meetings will be hosted by the Lake Champlain Basin Program and will take place at the following locations: St. Albans, Wednesday, Aug. 26; Burlington, Thursday, Aug. 27; Rutland, Thursday, Aug. 27.
