Revolutions come because of the immediate need and desire for real change. Professor Newt Gingrich says, “Real change only comes with real change.” Alas, we are seeing it happen. Wonderful.
It is time and our candidates are before us. The political pundits mystically wonder why two candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders and business tycoon Donald Trump, have surprisingly surged ahead of all the other runners. They are dumbfounded because they do not seem to realize, though they mouth the thought, the people are really fed up with Washington business as usual, and both parties.
The parties’ self-serving special interest legislation and machinations, failure to lead, incompetence, government shutdown over the past few years is destroying the America we know and cherish. The long-term effects of the failed policies of this collective dual incompetence is mind-boggling, and the people now see it.
The many failed areas: NAFTA, free trade, tax policies, immigration, Supreme Court, Wall Street, banking deregulation, bailouts, housing market mortgages (subprime), concentration of wealth, loss of middle class, foreign policy, etc., etc., from both sides of the aisle – enough.
The refreshing candidates are speaking to the people. These are “interesting times.” Be bold. See you at the polls.
