Winslow, Brennan picked for Vermont Twin-State basketball teams
ESSEX — This Saturday’s 33rd Twin State Basketball Classic between recent Vermont and New Hampshire high school graduates and standout hoop players will feature two local athletes. The all-star games will be played this year at Essex High School.
Otter Valley Union High School’s John Winslow, the two-time Addison Independent Player of the Year, is scheduled to suit up for the Vermont boys, and Mount Abraham’s Isabel Brennan, a three-time Independent all-star who helped the Eagles win two Division II titles, is on the Vermont girls’ roster.
The girls’ game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, with the boys’ game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
New Hampshire leads the all-time series in both the boys’ and girls’ games by identical 19-13 margins. In 2014, the states split the games, with the New Hampshire boys and the Vermont girls prevailing.
