County Criminal Court Log for June 25, 2015

ADDISON COUNTY — In activity in Addison Superior Court, Criminal Division recently the following took place:
Christopher M. Allen, 34, of North Ferrisburgh pleaded innocent to a March 31 charge of simple assault, and was released with conditions.
Toni Marie Bachand, 27, of New Haven pleaded guilty to a Jan. 24, 2013, charge of retail theft, $900 or less; Jan. 31, 2013, charges of counterfeiting, and of buying, receiving, selling, possessing or concealing stolen property; a June 13, 2013, charge of selling heroin, less than 200 mg; and July 5, 2013, and April 3, 2014, counts of driving with a suspended license. Sentencing was set for a later date.
John G. Bennett, 58, of Bristol pleaded innocent to a May 18 charge of driving under the influence, third or subsequent offense, and was released with conditions.
Michelle Bennett, 26, of Starksboro pleaded guilty to two Dec. 26, 2014, counts of driving with a suspended license, and a Dec. 26, 2014, charge of violating conditions of release, and was sentenced to 30 days on work crew, and was fined $441.
Paul Birchmore Jr., 42, of Shelburne pleaded guilty to April 7 charges of domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services, and was sentenced to 9 to 18 months in jail, suspended, and 15 days on work crew, and was fined $294.
Teiontay Braxton, 35, of Burlington pleaded guilty to an April 29, 2013, charge of sale or delivery of heroin, 1 gram or more, and was sentenced to 30 months to 8 years, and was fined $141. The state’s attorney dismissed an April 29, 2013, charge of marijuana possession, less than 2 ounces, as part of a plea agreement.
Frank D. Bruton, 24, of Vergennes pleaded guilty to a Feb. 22 charge of reckless driving, and was fined $492.
Brandon Chandler Carper, 26, of Colchester pleaded guilty to a May 10 charge of driving under the influence, and was sentenced to 6 to 12 months in jail, suspended, and a 90-day license suspension, and was fined $897.
Christopher J. Clark, 26, of Addison pleaded guilty to a Jan. 14 charge of driving with a suspended license, and was sentenced to 10 days on work crew and was fined $147.
Ashley Fisk, 28, of Middlebury pleaded innocent to March 31 charges of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both, and reckless endangerment, and was released with conditions.
Peter J. Friedman, 44, of Fayston pleaded innocent to an April 20 charge of driving with excessive speed, and was released with conditions.
Christopher J. Giroux, 31, of Hinesburg pleaded innocent to a May 30 charge of second-degree aggravated domestic assault, and was released with conditions.
Kyle Hamblin, 23, of Weybridge pleaded guilty to a May 30 charge of driving under the influence, and was sentenced to 6 to 12 months in jail, suspended, and a 90-day license suspension, and was fined $897.
Jamie Todd Jennings, 37, of New Haven pleaded innocent to an April 19 charge of driving with a suspended license, and was released with conditions.
Russell Kinsley, 61, of Addison pleaded innocent to a May 22 charge of driving under the influence, and was released with conditions.
Chad LaFlamme, 45, had an arrest warrant issued for failure to appear to answer to a March 31 charge of simple assault.
Abbi Elizabeth Lengyel, 30, of East Middlebury, pleaded guilty to a July 19, 2014, charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both. Sentencing was set for a later date.
Michael J. Lepore-Capek, 28, of New Haven pleaded guilty to a Jan. 17 charge careless or negligent driving, amended from a charge of driving under the influence, and was sentenced to 10 days on work crew and was fined $147.
Jenna Loree, 27, of Middlebury pleaded innocent to a May 31 charge of domestic assault, and was released with conditions.
Ryan S. Lowe, 24, of Johnson pleaded guilty to a Nov. 16, 2014, charge of driving with a suspended license, fourth offense, and was sentenced to 19 days on work crew, and was fined $147.
Ariel Martin, 23, of Goshen pleaded guilty to a May 21, 2014, charge of providing false information to an officer/implicating another, and was sentenced to 6 to 12 months in jail, suspended, and was fined $147.
Moises Mejia, 39, of South Burlington pleaded guilty to a May 24 charge of driving under the influence, and was sentenced to five days on work crew, 90-day license suspension and was fined $207.
Terence J. Morris, 58, of Middlebury pleaded guilty by waiver to an April 4 charge of retail theft, $900 or less, and was sentenced to 10 days on work crew and was fined $147.
Nicholas Lee Parent, 35, of Shoreham pleaded innocent to a May 9 charge of driving under the influence, and was released with conditions.
Robert R. Pecor, 65, of Monkton pleaded innocent to an April 23 charge of simple assault, and was released with conditions.
John Penwarden, 54, of Orwell pleaded innocent to Jan. 1, 2011, charge of aggravated sexual assault on a victim younger than 13, four Dec. 2, 2014, counts of possession of child pornography; two Jan. 1, 2011, counts of sexual exploitation of a child; and a Dec. 2, 2014, charge of possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or more, and was released on $50,000 bail.
David Crockett Pratt, 34, of Colchester pleaded guilty to a July 3, 2012, charge of driving with a suspended license, and was sentenced to 7 days on work crew and was fined $141.
Njoki Rohio, 45, of Bristol pleaded innocent to an April 27 charge of leaving the scene of a crash-property damage, and was released with conditions.
Anthony Sargent, 18, of West Rutland pleaded innocent to a May 21 charge of driving with excessive speed, and was released with conditions.
James E. Schultz, 29, of South Royalton pleaded guilty to a March 15 charge of violating an abuse prevention order, and was sentenced to 6 to 12 months in jail, suspended, and was fined $147. The state’s attorney dismissed a second March 15 count of the same offense as part of a plea agreement.
Alexander Searle, 30, of Rutland pleaded innocent to a March 25 charge of petit larceny, $900 or less, and was released with conditions.
Christopher Shores, 21, of East Middlebury pleaded guilty to an April 19 charge of driving with a suspended license, and was sentenced to 30 days on work crew and was fined $147.
Alexander T. Smith, 23, of Addison pleaded guilty to an April 1 charge of driving with excessive speed, and was ordered to complete the Reparative Board and was fined $147.
Sarah C. Steinle, 24, of Hartford, Conn., pleaded guilty by waiver to a March 21 charge of driving under the influence, and was sentenced to a 90-day license suspension and was fined $667.
Mark Usher, 49, of Shoreham pleaded innocent to May 31 charges of interference with access to emergency services and domestic assault, and was released with conditions.
Casie R. Yandow, 26, of Ripton pleaded innocent to a March 29 charge of simple assault, and was released with conditions.
