Costume designer for ‘Turandot’ draws applause
Debby Anderson’s elegant, colorful and beautifully designed costumes were as much responsible for the incredible success of Town Hall Theatre’s sold-out production of “Turandot” as the artists, conductor and director. Yet your reviewer did not see fit to include this remarkable talented lady’s work in her review.
How drab this beautifully sung, directed and orchestrated opera would have been without the gloriously embroidered and colorful satin sheen of the elegant ensembles chosen by Debby and her hardworking crew. They are due your apologies for your omission and high praise for adorning the talented artists with equally as brilliant works of art. You would have to be blind not to have noticed this extraordinary tableau of color and flow: its enhancement of the “Turandot” performance.
