Boys lacrosse: Tigers pelt Spaulding; Eagles break even; Commodores lose in triple overtime

ADDISON COUNTY — In area boys’ lacrosse action in the latter half of last week, Middlebury won a road game, Mount Abraham won once and lost once, and Vergennes lost in triple overtime on the road.  
TIGERS
On Friday, the Tigers pelted host Spaulding, 20-5. Details of the game were not available. The Tigers improved to 7-2 and moved into first place in Division I, percentage points ahead of Essex (8-2). MUHS will visit Essex on Tuesday and then host a makeup game vs. Mount Mansfield on Wednesday.
EAGLES
On Wednesday, OwenLaBarr and Lucas Richter led Mount Abe with four goals apiece as Mount Abe won at Montpelier, 11-6. The Solons dropped to 3-4.
On Saturday, Burlington improved to 10-1 with a 19-7 win over the host Eagles. Richter scored another four goals for Mount Abe, and Ryan Bonar added a pair. Goalie Tucker Paradee stopped 12 shots for the 3-5 Eagles.
COMMODORES
On Friday, host U-32 edged the Commodores in triple overtime, 10-9, as Raider goalie Jackson Bates had a half-dozen point-blank stops on VUHS in the extra sessions. He finished with 20 saves for the 5-3 Raiders, while goalie Broc Clark stopped 22 shots, but not Hunter Lane’s game-winner in the third OT. VUHS dropped to 6-5.
