Middlebury boys’ hockey loses lead, ends in tie
MILTON — The Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey team and host Milton battled to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday, leaving the Tigers with a 0-1-2 record heading into their Saturday home opener vs. Harwood.
On this past Wednesday, the Tigers outshot the Yellowjackets, 30-6, but only Justin Stone put one in the net, giving the Tigers a 1-0 second-period lead with assists from Nathan Lalonde and Tyler Crowningshield. Stone also hit the post twice in the game.
Milton equalized later in the period, the only goal allowed by Tiger netminder Doug DeLorenzo (five saves).
