Opinion: Fans thankful for Otter Valley football

Now the high school football season is over. Otter Valley was the Div. III State Championship runner-up. While it was hard for the players to lose the championship game, they all should be proud of the year they had.
I am very proud of the players and the year they had. This team gave us — their family, friends and fans — quite a year of memories. I was fortunate to get to many games this year to see my nephew play in his final year at Otter Valley. And while Adam won’t be at Otter Valley next year I will still go to some of the games to cheer on the Otters. I wish the seniors the very best in the pursuit of life after high school.
And were it not for many people working this year and in prior years we would not have the great football program at Otter Valley. The Football Club and others who have given and continue to give of their time to support the program should be thanked for service and helping make this football program a success.
