Milton tops Mt. Abe in boys’ soccer

BRISTOL — Visiting Milton topped the Mount Abraham Union High School boys’ soccer team on Tuesday, 3-1.
The Yellowjackets improved to 8-2-2 and are in third place in Division II, while the Eagles remained winless in their past nine outings and dropped to 2-7-2.
Ryan Brown, Colby Gay and Luke Covey scored for Milton, and goalie Hunter Goodwin made four saves.
Mount Abe goalie Nick Szczecinski stopped 11 shots for the Eagles, including a penalty kick. Mount Abe scored on a Milton own goal.
The Eagles, who lost senior central defender Whit Lower to a season-ending injury in the third game of the fall, will look to break through at Missisquoi on Friday.
