Mt. Abe field hockey edges Colchester, snaps streak

BRISTOL — The Mount Abraham Union High School field hockey team snapped its five-game losing streak on Tuesday by topping visiting Colchester, 1-0.
The Eagles earned a 14-1 advantage in shots on goal, but only Kennady Roy, with an assist from Bailey Sherwin, put a ball past Laker goalie Abby Ladd. Ladd stopped 13 shots in the losing cause as her team dropped to 0-8.
Mount Abe goalie Danielle Morse stopped the only shot she saw as the Eagles improved to 4-5.
