Opinion: House hopeful gets high marks

I’m not one to write letters in support of people running for office, but in this case I’m happy to offer my support to Donna Donahue.
Since moving to Middlebury, Donna has worn many hats over the years and it seems each one sits easily. She has quickly become known around Middlebury for taking on jobs that are difficult. She has led causes for the improvement for the Middlebury area with even-handedness. She studies issues and problems looking for reasonable conclusions.
My interaction with Donna has been professional as well as a friend. She’s very active in the Better Middlebury Partnership, reviving falling membership and renewing energy. She also served as president of the group, moving the organization in a positive direction with her expertise and experience. While serving on many boards and committees she has worked diligently.
As a volunteer, I often assisted the National Bank of Middlebury’s New Horizons Club director and came in contact with Donna, as she is an employee there. I can see that she is a valued employee offering concrete ideas and solutions. Her clear-headedness, experience, sense of humor and friendliness brings a fresh approach.
I plan on voting for Donna Donahue in the upcoming primary and I hope you will, too. I think she will bring a critical new voice to Montpelier.
