Opinion: Remember to protect yourself against mosquitos

It’s mosquito season. The Lemon Fair Insect Control District encourages everyone to ensure a safe and enjoyable summer by protecting themselves from mosquitoes.
Use insect repellent responsibly. Remember, mosquitoes are most active in early morning and in the early evening past sunset. Mosquitoes also seek shelter in tall grasses and in forests. Also, mosquitoes breed in outside containers; i.e., dog dishes, birdbaths, clogged gutters, tires, etc. … emptying these receptacles or refreshing water on a daily basis will reduce the risk of breeding mosquitoes on your property.
Be smart, be safe and enjoy summer. Fight the bite.
