While most cover singers in opera may never get on stage unless a member of the main cast is unable to perform, with the Opera Company of Middlebury covers are guaranteed one show per run. The cover cast of the OCM’s recent run of Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers performed Friday, June 6, to a full house.
