Bristol Police Log: Road range incident ends in arrest

BRISTOL — In the past week, Bristol police reported on three recent incidents.
•  On June 6 police arrested a Bristol man in a road rage-related incident.
Officers arrested Timothy Joseph Clodgo, 48, on suspicion of simple assault and unlawful restraint after, Police Chief Kevin Gibbs reported, he confronted a fellow motorist on Prince Lane, in the Shaw’s and Rite Aid parking lot.
Police responded to that location after receiving a 911 hang-up call, and found a woman who said Clodgo followed her vehicle into the parking lot and then blocked her in by parking his vehicle immediately behind her. The woman told police that Clodgo then confronted her through her open driver’s side window, upset because he believed she had been following his vehicle too closely on North Street.
Police got in touch with Clodgo, who said he was upset with the woman’s driving, and said that she was tailgating his vehicle. Police processed Clodgo and issued him a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court at a later date.
•  On June 1 Gibbs reported that his department had deleted a social media account he said was being used for cyber bullying. Police said they received a complaint May 27 that a Facebook page was being used by someone who “would not identify themselves” to participate in online bullying.
After investigating other details of the page, police said they were able to identify the source of the page. Police said they deleted the page, and that the case is being handled by the juvenile division of Addison County Superior Court.
•  On June 9 Bristol police cited Dawn Moultroup, 40, of Starksboro for failing to make sure her children, ages 12 and 15, attended school as required by law. Gibbs reported that Bristol police had hand delivered notice that her children were truant on April 1 and that she needed to take action. On June 3, police learned from MAUHS staff that the children were still having unexcused absences and still truant. Moultroup is due to answer the charge in Addison Superior Court, criminal division, on June 30.
