Vermont State Police Log: Stray bullet entered home in New Haven
ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police at the New Haven barracks are investigating an incident where a bullet passed through a window of a residence located on Munger Street in New Haven. It is believed the incident occurred on April 22 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
There was no one at the residence when the incident occurred.
A stop sign at the intersection of Munger Street and Cobble Road had also been shot.

In other recent activity, state police:
• On April 9 were called to a family fight at a home on Bristol Road in Monkton. The trooper’s investigation suggests that several verbal altercations had happened between 36-year-old Misty Stowell, a former resident of the home, and several members of the residence earlier that day; and that Stowell had left. It was reported that Stowell returned to the residence for a third time at approximately 4 p.m., walked into the room of where a 42-year-old woman was sleeping, and punched her in the face. Stowell is reportedly transient and staying in Addison and Chittenden counties. Troopers eventually found Stowell and this week cited her for simple assault.
• On April 22 at 6:15 a.m. were alerted to a burglary at a Tully Road home in Cornwall. The homeowners reported that the break in occurred sometime within the last six weeks while they were away. A large amount of jewelry and coins were reported stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
• On April 23 at 12:49 p.m. responded to a two-car crash on Route 7 near Lime Kiln Road in Charlotte. The trooper said her investigation showed that Amrou Mohamed, 18, of Burlington was driving a 2007 Honda sedan southbound when the car crashed the centerline and collided with a northbound 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Walter Goodale, 64, of Weybridge. The three occupants in the Honda were transported to Fletcher Allen Health Care, where only one passenger was determined to have minor injuries. Goodale was uninjured. Both cars were judged to be total losses. This crash is still under investigation.
• On April 24 at 7:55 a.m. were called to investigate the theft of a fuel pump from the Starksboro town garage off Route 116. The road commissioner reported that the theft occurred sometime in the preceding week. Anyone with information is asked to contact VSP.
• Also on April 24, at 5 p.m., received a report of the theft of a utility trailer from a home on Route 17 East in Addison. Those who have information on this incident are asked to contact state police.
• On April 25 stopped Whitney Williams, 22, of Cornwall for driving a motor vehicle without headlights on Route 7 in Middlebury. Police said Williams’ blood alcohol content was 0.158, almost twice the legal limit of 0.08. Police cited Williams for driving under the influence.
• On April 26 responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 22A and Nortontown Road in Addison. Police report that Patrick Solomon, 26, of Bridport was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza when he did not see the 2003 Ford F 350 driven by Raymond Dykema, 45, of Addison and attempted to pass Dykema’s vehicle. Solomon’s Impreza sustained passenger side damage and Dykema’s Ford sustained front, driver’s side damage. No one was injured, and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police issued Solomon a warning.
• On April 27 at 12 minutes passed midnight stopped a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Roger Hemenway of Rutland on Route 7 in Leicester for allegedly traveling at 84 mph in a 50 mph zone. Police cited Hemenway for driving under the influence and speeding.
• On April 27 at 8:26 p.m. cited Dusty Grace, 21, of Bristol for unlawful mischief. Police alleged that Grace smashed a windshield on a vehicle belonging to 39-year-old Raymond Germain of Bristol.
• On April 28 stopped a motor vehicle driven by Albert Bailey, 41, of Leicester for speeding on Swinington Hill Road in Leicester. The trooper said Bailey initially identified himself as another person. Police cited him for driving with a criminally suspended license and for providing false information to a police officer.
