MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police responded to a call from a Monroe Street resident on April 15 whose credit card was stolen and used at several locations.
In other action last week, Middlebury police:
•  Received a report on April 14 that some household items had gone missing from a rented Airport Road residence on April 14.
•  Were informed that some diesel fuel and hand tools had been stolen from the Cobble Hill Farm on April 14.
•  Investigated a report of young children playing in the roadway on Seminary Street on April 14.
•  Took, to Porter Hospital, a drunken man located on Court Street on April 15. Police said the man was admitted to the hospital for treatment of a medical condition.
•  Assisted a Middlebury resident with a possible tax fraud case on April 15.
•  Ticketed a Middlebury resident for driving with a suspended license in the Skyline Drive area on April 16. Police said the man was also driving an unregistered vehicle that was uninsured.
•  Assisted Two Brothers Tavern with a man who had attempted to steal a pint glass on April 18. Police said the man paid for the glass and apologized.
•  Received a report that someone had stolen some Oakley sunglasses from an unlocked locker at Vermont Sun on April 18.
•  Investigated a report of four youths dressed in camouflage clothing with a hatchet near the rear of the Middlebury municipal building at 94 Main St. on April 18. Police said the youths had left when they arrived at the scene.
•  Cautioned a very sleepy driver who had been swerving on Route 30 on April 19.
•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS officials with a medical call in the Ossie Road area on April 19.
•  Responded to a noise complaint at the Lindale Trailer Park on Monarch Court on April 19.
•  Turned over, to Middlebury College Public Safety, a “heavily intoxicated” youth who had been driving his bike on College Street without lights on April 20. Police said they served court diversion paperwork to the youth for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
•  In a separate April 20 incident, served court diversion paperwork on a youth who been drinking alcohol. Police also warned the youth for not having a light on the bike he was driving that evening on a Main Street sidewalk.
•  Gave directions to two intoxicated men who had lost their way in the High Street/Seminary Street neighborhood on April 20.
•  Served court diversion paperwork to a driver for marijuana and alcohol possession after he failed to use a turn signal on Elm Street on April 21.
