Eagle nine fall to visiting Burlington

BRISTOL — The Mount Abraham Union High School baseball team fell to visiting Burlington on Tuesday, 3-0, a result that left both teams with 1-1 records.
Seahorse hurler Holden Jones tossed a complete-game two-hitter vs. the Eagles, striking out 11, to earn the win.
Jones outdueled Mount Abe’s Josh Cyr, who went the distance and surrendered five hits.
The Eagles are scheduled to play at Champlain Valley on Thursday before hosting defending Division II champion Otter Valley on Saturday at 11 a.m.
