OV softball drops to 0-2

BRATTLEBORO — Host Brattleboro defeated the Otter Valley Union High School softball team on Thursday, 7-1, dropping the Otters to 0-2 heading into their spring break.
Both of the Division II Otters’ setbacks have come to D-I teams on the road. They are now off until April 22, when they are scheduled to travel to Windsor.
Margaret Santell and Olivia Bloomer each accounted for two of OV’s five hits. Losing pitcher Taylor Aines fanned eight and walked four, but allowed two big hits to Devin Millerick, who knocked in four runs for the Colonels in what was their season opener.
