Lake Dunmore ice-out raffle tickets still available

SALISBURY — The Lake Dunmore/Fern Lake Association welcomes Lord Dunmore back to Brush’s Point on Lake Dunmore for the Dunmore Dip Ice Out, an annual fundraiser to help fight the spread of Eurasian milfoil in the lakes.
Lord Dunmore has returned from his summer spa. First, he travelled to Kampersville where he prepared for his journey to Brush’s point on the east shore of Lake Dunmore between Keewaydin and Branbury State Park. He was last spotted at Kampersville in battle gear prepared to fight the battle against Eurasian milfoil with the Lake Dunmore/Fern Lake Association’s Milfoil Control Project. In early March he will arrive on ice-covered Lake Dunmore, where he will set up his clock and await the Ice Out.
Anyone can join him in battle by going to www.ldfla.com and guessing when the ice will go out. Guesses are $1 each. The winner will share the proceeds 50/50 with the Milfoil Control Project. Deadline for entry is March 15. The winner’s payout last year was over $1,000.
