Vergennes Police Log: Multiple incidents keep city police busy

VERGENNES — Vergennes police responded to a variety of incidents between Feb. 3 and 9, including an alcohol-related case at Northlands Job Corps and a suicide threat.
During that week, Vergennes police:
•  On Feb. 3 dealt with a minor two-car accident in a Panton Road parking lot.
•  On Feb. 3 directed traffic at a home fire on Third Street.
•  On Feb. 4 handled a two-car accident on South Water Street; police said a car left running rolled across the road and struck another vehicle.
•  On Feb. 4 cited Robert L. Labossiere, 22, of Bristol for a criminal count of driving with a suspended license; he was stopped on Panton Road.
•  On Feb. 4 looked unsuccessfully for a reported prowler in the MacDonough Drive area.
•  On Feb. 4 arrested Northlands student and Massachusetts resident Cory M. Bundy, 21, for supplying alcohol to minors and disorderly conduct. Bundy was taken to the Chittenden County Correctional Center.
•  On Feb. 5 helped Vermont State Police process a temporary restraining order in a Ferrisburgh case.
•  On Feb. 6 spoke to parents of a Vergennes Union High School student about persistent truancy.
•  On Feb. 6 dealt with traffic after the traffic light at the intersection of Main Street and Monkton Road stopped working.
•  On Feb. 7 served truancy paperwork to Vergennes Union Elementary School parents at the school.
•  On Feb. 8 helped VSP by dealing with a two-car accident on Shellhouse Mountain Road in Ferrisburgh.
•  On Feb. 8 responded to the New Haven Road car wash to help a motorist who said the exit door would not open; eventually it did open, police said.
•  On Feb. 8 went to a West Main Street residence after a report of a man feeling suicidal; the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad took him to Fletcher Allen Health Care for counseling.
•  On Feb. 9 took a dog that had been hit by a car to the Vergennes Animal Hospital.
