Vergennes Police Log: Brawling teenagers draw assult citations

VERGENNES — A Jan. 20 brawl among teenagers at a Second Street home led to three citations for domestic assault, Vergennes police said.
Two males cited were juveniles, and thus their names were not released. Police said a citation remains possible against a fourth girl involved in what they called a melee. Cited on the public record was Morgan Valiquette, 18.
Police said a verbal dispute over whether a boyfriend of one of the parties involved should be staying at the home escalated into the fight. Two people were treated at a hospital for lacerations to their heads and complaints of pain to their heads, police said, after a brawl that included punching, kicking and throwing of objects. Four members of the Vergennes Police Department responded to the incident.
