MUHS gymnasts slip past visiting Milton
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Union High School gymnastics team on Wednesday edged visiting Milton, 113.3-105.75, at the Middlebury Union Middle School gym.
The Tiger team was paced by Anneke Jewett, who took first place on the bars and beam and in the all-around competition, and Hannah Stoll, who won the vault.
The top four finishers in each event were:
Vault:
1. Stoll, MUHS, 8.1.
2. Lindsay Wells, MUHS, 8.0.
3. Jewett, MUHS, 7.9.
4. Mikayla Robinson, MUHS, and Paige Hibbard (Milt), 7.4.
Bars:
1. Jewett, 6.2.
2. Robinson, 6.0.
3. Megan Brady (Milt), 5.9.
4. Stoll, Wells and Bella Williams, MUHS; and Suraya Davis (Milt), 5.8.
Beam:
1. Jewett, 8.1.
2. Krissi Payne (Milt), 7.9.
3. Wells, 7.8.
4. Emma Snyder-White, MUHS, 7.7.
Floor:
1. Payne, 7.3.
2. Robinson, 7.0.
3. Stoll, 6.9.
4. Wells, 6.7.
All-Around
1. Jewett, 28.4.
