OV girls’ hoop stops Mill River for first win
BRANDON — The Otter Valley Union High School girls’ basketball team broke through for its first win on Tuesday, 34-30 at the expense of visiting Mill River.
Laura Roberts scored eight to lead OV, and three other Otters tallied six apiece as they edged MRU, which dipped to 4-3. The Otters improved to 1-3.
Two other local girls’ basketball games scheduled for Monday were postponed due to bad weather. Vergennes was to play at Mount Abraham, and that game was moved to Jan. 15 at 6 p.m.
Middlebury was set to travel to Missisquoi, and that game was moved to this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
