Middlebury New Year’s Eve fireworks moved to Rec Park

MIDDLEBURY — Town officials in Middlebury on Tuesday announced that they have moved the location of Tuesday night’s annual New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
Due to severe icing conditions at the American Legion Field on Creek Road — the traditional site for the fireworks — the fireworks display was moved to the recreation park between Mary Hogan School and the Memorial Sports Center.
The fun family event will get under way with fireworks at 7:30 p.m. at the rec. park followed by free ice skating at the Memorial Sports Center from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
The event is supported by American Legion Post 27.
