Brandon event to key on issues affecting children
BRANDON — Following the Governor’s Summit on Oct. 29and the unveiling of Vermont’s Early Childhood Framework, the public is invited to participate in putting into action the six goals of the framework.
As part of the four-month action-planning process currently underway, the Addison County Early Childhood Council and the Rutland Building Bright Futures Council will host a meeting on Jan. 9 from 2-4 p.m. at the Brandon Town Hall. The results of this meeting will provide guidance to the framework’s action priorities for the next two years. Participants will be asked to weigh in on and prioritize the many ideas generated through the nine-month process to develop the framework, which led to the Governor’s Summit.
Building Bright Futuresis both the governor-appointed statewide Early Childhood Advisory Council and a nonprofit statewide network of 12 regional early childhood councils across Vermont. Its purpose is to monitor and protect the status of young children and their families in addition to the system that serves them.
