Swimmers post many personal best times
BRISTOL — The Addison Otter Swim team had their first meet of the 2013/14 swim season at the NE UVAC Winter Classic on Dec. 7 and 8 in White River Junction. Ten team members and coach Peter Bicknell attended the event.
Out of the 47 races swum, Otters recorded personal best times in 26.
Most of the local swimmers raced in multiple events. The following is the name of each competitor and the result from the event in which they had the highest finish this past weekend.
• Allie Croke (age 9), girls’ 10 and under, 50 back, 42.78, 11th out of 100.
• Leah Croke (age 11), girls’ U12, 50 fly, 36.35, 24th out of 82.
• Katie Mayer (age 16), girls’ Open, 100 breast, 1:13.53, 7th out of 63.
• Richmond Rathbun (age 12), girls’ U12, 50 back, 44.79, 69th out of 86.
• Sophie Rippner-Donovan (age 14), girls’ U14, 100 fly, 1:25.98, 26th out of 35.
• Emily Rooney (age 11), girls’ U12, 50 fly, 34.72, 14th out of 82.
• Abigail Roy (age 10), girls’ U10, 100 IM, 1:47.91, 46th out of 82.
• Evan Roy (age 9), boys’ open, 50 free, 1:17.31, 37th out of 48.
• Oliver Roy (age 12), boys’ U12, 50 breast, 42.82, 14th out of 30.
• Tess Ruddy (age 11), girls’ U12, 50 breast, 38.72, 9th out of 71.
