ADDISON COUNTY — A Ferrisburgh teen who was reported missing Oct. 11 has been found safe, Vermont State Police reported on Tuesday afternoon.
Police located Hailey Rheaume-Fox, 17, after her mother said Rheaume-Fox had contacted her and said she was in Burlington. Police took Rheaume-Fox, who was in good condition and did not require medical attention, into custody and returned her to the Department of Children and Families.
Detectives with the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation will continue to investigate this case.
In other recent activity, troopers:
•  On Nov. 6 at 7:02 p.m. responded to a one-car crash on Jersey Street in Addison. Police said a 16-year-old Addison male lost control of the 2002 Subaru Impreza he was driving and traveled off the roadway. The youth, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries, the Impreza sustained moderate damage.
•  On Nov. 7 at 5:45 p.m. received a complaint of vandalism on Kirby Drive in Salisbury. The complainant said she heard a vehicle she believed to be a truck revving outside her house. Later she went outside and saw her mailbox had been vandalized. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact VSP at 802-388-4919. •  On Nov. 8 at 9:25 p.m. stopped a motor vehicle on Lawson Lane in Bristol for a motor vehicle infraction and ended up citing Jackie Gorton, 35, of Bristol for driving with a criminally suspended license.
•  On Nov. 9 at 11:24 a.m. responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Bingham Street and Route 74 in Cornwall. Troopers’ investigation showed that 59-year-old Ethan Wing of Farmington, Maine, was driving a Mack box truck on North Bingham when he allegedly failed to yield the right of way to a 2007 Kia Sportage driven by 74-year-old Betty Gendreau of Shoreham, which was travelling westbound on Route 74. Damage to both vehicles was moderate to minor, and there were no injuries.
Police issued a traffic ticket to Wing.
•  On Nov. 9 at approximately 5:34 p.m. came across a disabled vehicle on Prindle Road in Charlotte. Police cited 40-year-old Francis Valiquette Jr. for driving with a criminally suspended license.
•  On Nov. 9 responded to a one-car crash on Route 7 in Ferrisburgh. Troopers report that at around 6 p.m. Raymond Gauthier, 56, of Addison was driving a Pontiac G6 southbound on Route 7 when he apparently drove left of center and went off the east side of the road. According to police, he drove over a speed limit sign and continued southbound on Route 7. He was found shortly after in Vergennes. The weather was reported as clear and the road conditions as dry. Troopers charged Gauthier with leaving the scene of an accident.
•  On Nov. 10 at 5:48 p.m. stopped a car driven by Susan Dematteis, 54, of Colchester on Route 7, south of Maple Meadow Farm in Salisbury, for erratic driving. Police cited Dematteis for driving under the influence.
•  On the evening of Nov. 11 alerted the public to be on the lookout for an 88-year-old man with dementia who they say was missing from his Whiting home. Robert E. Shaw was last seen at his residence, 84 Galvin Road, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, acting confused. On Nov. 12 troopers issued a release saying Shaw had been found and was returned to his family.
