Vergennes Police Log: Cops nab fleeing suspect

VERGENNES — Vergennes police arrested a 21-year-old Bristol man after a quarter-mile foot chase on Saturday.
Police said they saw Kaleb Gorton, who they said has a lengthy history of arrests and was wanted on an outstanding warrant, “hiding in the bushes” off School Street.
When he realized police had seen him, they said Gorton ran off on School Street toward East Street and then turned into the back parking lot of Luigi’s Italian Specialties before police collared and handcuffed him.
