Women business owners to meet

MIDDLEBURY — The Women Business Owners Network (WBON) will meet Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 8-9:30 a.m. at Rosie’s restaurant in Middlebury. This month’s presentation is “Google Tools for Small Businesses,” with Nancy Shuttleworth of the Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC).
Shuttleworth will explain how Google products can be used to bolster small business. Attendees will be introduced to various free online tools that can make one’s business smarter and potentially save time and money, as well as generate leads, revenue and increased office efficiency.
Google products discussed include Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, etc.), Google Analytics, Alerts, Mobile, Places, Webmaster tools and more. VtSBDC’s mission is to strengthen existing businesses and assist start-ups through high-quality, no-cost counseling, and high-quality, affordable training programs.
Shuttleworth has extensive experience with search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media advertising, and digital media buying. She works with the VtSBDC as an e-commerce business adviser and runs her own business specializing in digital marketing strategies. She holds a master’s degree in managing innovation & information technology and a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing.
WBON discussions are open to area women involved in assorted professional and personal endeavors. They are held the third Tuesday of the month. The cost is $8 for members, $10 for guests. To RSVP or learn more, email [email protected].
