Couger stickers defeat Tigers, 6-1
October 6, 2013
JERICHO — Host Mount Mansfield dealt the shorthanded Middlebury Union High School field hockey team a 6-1 defeat on Thursday.
The Cougars improved to 2-6-1, while the Tigers, playing without their starting center back and center middie due to injuries, dropped to 2-4-3. The loss also snapped the Tigers’ three-game unbeaten streak.
MMU took a 2-0 lead before a Tajah Marsden goal cut the lead to 2-1 at the half. But MMU pulled away after the break.
Two Cougar goalies teamed up to make two saves, and MUHS goalie Baily Ryan stopped 10 shots.
