Gallery: Public Service Board hearing in Middlebury, 9/10/13

Hundreds of people came to the Middlebury Union Middle School gym on Tuesday to make their voices heard on a proposed 43-mile natural gas pipeline that Vermont Gas Systems wants to run from Colchester to Middlebury. After an initial protest in the school parking lot in which citizens complained about the environmental impact of the pipeline, the Vermont Public Service Board took testimony from those opposed to and in favor of the $70 million project.
Addison Independent photographer Trent Campbell captured these images Tuesday evening. Read reporter John Flowers’ story on the meeting here.
