Elm Street in Middlebury to be closed on Tuesday

MIDDLEBURY — Elm Street in Middlebury will be closed on Tuesday, July 9, between North Pleasant Street and Seymour Street for the replacement of a failing private sanitary sewer line with a new sewer line. Town officials said the street must be closed to connect the new sewer line with the town’s sewer main, which is under the paved section of Elm Street.
There will be traffic control personnel at each end of the closed section to assist with traffic.
Motorists can expect the street to be closed at 7 a.m. The repair will take several hours, and the road could possibly be closed until 5p.m., the town officials said.
