Bristol woman killed in suspected Pittsford murder

PITTSFORD — Vermont State Police are investigating the suspected murder of a Bristol woman in Pittsford during the early morning of Friday, July 5.
Vermont State Police said they received an E-911 call at around 2:28 a.m. about a possible family fight on West Creek Road in Pittsford. Troopers responded and found Kristen L. Parker, 32, of Bristol, dead inside the residence. Parker’s boyfriend, identified as Christopher Sharrow, 35, of Pittsford, was also at the residence with three young children.
Police took Sharrow into custody without incident and took him to VSP Rutland Barracks on suspicion of murder. VSP detectives on Friday afternoon were continuing the investigation, while members of the VSP Crime Scene Search Team were processing the scene. Charges against Sharrow will be forthcoming, according to police.
The children were uninjured during the course of the incident.
Parker’s remains will be transported to the Vermont Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Police did not disclose any details about how Parker might have died, nor information about to whom the three children belonged.
Once the investigation has been completed, it will be sent to the Rutland County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. Anyone with information about this incident should call the Vermont State Police in Rutland at 802-773-9101.
State police have scheduled a press conference today, Friday, July 5, at 5:30 p.m. to provide an update about the ongoing investigation.
