WomenSafe seeks nominations for world-changing women award

MIDDLEBURY — WomenSafe is accepting nominations for its 10th annual Kimberly Krans Women Who Change the World Award. Each year, a nomination committee selects a local woman whose work or volunteer efforts have had positive impacts on the women and/or children in the community. The recipient’s name will be engraved on a plaque that is presented to her in March (Women’s History Month) during an award celebration in her honor. Previous award recipients are Sue Prager, Pam Marsh, Betsy Gossens, Molly Fitzpatrick, Beth Diamond, Jean Shappee, Diana Rule, Lauraine Warfield and Dottie Neuberger.
WomenSafe is asking anyone who knows a woman who deserves recognition for her outstanding work and dedication to submit an essay of 500 words or less that describes her and her efforts and the reasons they believe she should be the recipient of the 2013 Kimberly Krans Women Who Change the World Award. Email nominations to [email protected] or mail them to the Nomination Committee, PO Box 67, Middlebury, VT 05753 by Dec. 31.
