ADDISON COUNTY — An altercation between neighbors last Saturday night ended with Vermont State Police taking one Leicester man to jail and citing two others for disorderly conduct.
Trooper Star reported that on Sept. 1 at approximately 11 p.m. VSP at the New Haven barracks responded to a report of a burglary on Lake Dunmore Road in Leicester.
A homeowner reported that a standing issue with his neighbors over a dog became heated. Investigation indicated a verbal altercation outside of the residence became physical when the homeowner went back inside his mobile home and Robert Rosploch, 30, of Leicester allegedly attempted to force his way into the residence to assault the man.
Police report that Dustin Hayes, 21, and Tina Miller, 38, both of Leicester, attempted to prevent Rosploch from entering the mobile home. They were unsuccessful and all three subjects fell into the residence.
The trooper said Rosploch was cited for burglary and lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail. Hayes and Miller were issued citations for disorderly conduct.
In other recent activity, VSP:
•  On Aug. 26 were called to investigate the theft of metal tractor weights and heavy-duty chains from a Panton farm between 1 and 3 a.m. that morning. The suspects entered onto a private parking lot of a Jersey Street farm and removed the locking bolt and 11 metal tractor weights. Each weight weighs approximately 100 pounds.
Later that week, on Aug. 29, VSP received a report of stolen metal from the Panton town garage. Approximately $7,100 in various chains and plow parts were stolen from an unsecured area. Troopers are reminding businesses as well as citizens to secure their metal property to ensure it is not stolen.

•  On Aug. 26 at approximately 10:32 a.m. responded to a report of the theft of an outboard motor and a laptop computer from a home on Hollow Road in Monkton sometime during the previous week. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact VSP.
•  On Aug. 29 at around 1:30 p.m. received a report of the theft of batteries from an Old Sawmill Road home in Orwell. It is estimated that the theft occurred between May 12 and Aug. 29. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact VSP.
•  Later on the afternoon of Aug. 29 received a report of the theft of a laptop computer and external hard drive from a Route 125 home in Cornwall. It is estimated that the theft occurred between 1:30 and 5 p.m. on the previous day. The VSP is soliciting help from the public.
•  On Aug. 29 at 10:35 p.m. cited Scott Smally, 24, of Burlington for possession of marijuana after stopping his vehicle for speeding on Route 22A in Orwell.
•  On Aug. 30 at 11 p.m. cited Bridget Wedge, 24, of Whiting for driving with a criminally suspended license after stopping her car on Route 7 for defective equipment.
•  On Sept. 1 at approximately 1:49 a.m. checked on a vehicle parked in a pull-off on Morgan Horse Farm Road in Weybridge. Police cited the owner and operator in the vehicle, Troy Doolan, 51, of Middlebury, for possession of marijuana.
•  On Sept. 1 at approximately 4 p.m. were notified by Bristol police to be on the lookout for a vehicle driving from Bristol toward New Haven with a driver known to have a suspended license. A trooper spotted the vehicle at the intersection of East Street and River Road in New Haven. The trooper stopped the vehicle and cited the driver, Jonah Kleinfeldt, 37, of Bristol, for driving with a criminally suspended license. The trooper said he found that a passenger in the vehicle, David Flemming, had an active warrant so he arrested Flemming and he was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center by Bristol police.
•  On Sept. 1 at approximately 9 p.m. responded to a one-car rollover accident on Cove Road at the Bristol-New Haven town line. The trooper said Kimberly Dyer, 34, of New Haven lost control of the Subaru Outback she was driving, failing to navigate a sharp corner and exited the roadway. The vehicle rolled into a ditch. No injuries were reported. The Bristol Fire Department provided assistance on scene.
•  Reported that on Sept. 1 at approximately 11 p.m. an individual on a motorcycle fled from a traffic stop at a very high rate of speed. This individual was located a short time later and taken into custody without issue. The individual was identified as George Hallock, 29, of Waltham. Police cited Hallock for a criminal count of driving with a suspended license, attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and negligent driving.
•  On Sept. 1 at 11:26 p.m. responded to a one-vehicle accident on Monkton Road in Monkton. Police said James Morrow, 40, of Monkton was driving a Chevy truck westbound on Monkton Road when, he told police, he tried to drink a beverage while on a straightaway but the beverage went down the wrong pipe, causing him to feel faint and lose consciousness. Police said the truck ran into the guardrail, and then went off the roadway into a ditch, and crashed into a dirt pile. Morrow was assessed by rescue personnel on scene, and refused transport to the hospital. Police gave him a written warning. The truck sustained front-end damage and broken windows.
•  On Sept. 2 stopped a motor vehicle on Morgan Horse Farm Road in Weybridge and cited the driver, Paul Ronish, 67, of Brandon, for driving under the influence of alcohol.
•  On Sept. 3 responded to a report of a burglary at a Geary Road camp in Lincoln. The burglary occurred between Aug. 29 and 4 p.m. on Sept. 3. Several tools were stolen and the latch of the door was damaged. Anyone with information relevant to this incident is asked to contact VSP.
