Missing Person: Frank Goodfellow

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On June 12, 2012 at approximately 1145 hours New Haven State Police Troopers were advised of an senior citizen with Alzheimer’s that was missing in The Town of Starksboro near Shaker Hill Road. The male reportedly walked off into the woods behind his residence around 11:30am. Vermont State Police Troopers, Vergennes Police Dept., as well as six members of the Starksboro Fire Dept. responded to the area to begin search efforts.
 
The male was located at approximately 1:30pm after approximately 2 hours of searching. The male was found between approximately 1.5 and 2 miles from his residence. The male did not require medical attention but was fatigued when he was located. Chief George Merkel of the Vergennes Police Dept. utilized K9 “Akido” to assist with the search.
