Vermont State Police Log: Domestic assault calls keep police busy

ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police reported a number of domestic assault cases in the past week, as well as a drunken driving citation.
State police operating out of the New Haven barracks are asking members of the public to provide any information they have regarding a traffic collision that occurred on June 7, in Salisbury. Witnesses report seeing a silver SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on Kelly Cross Road in that town during the late afternoon — 3-4:30 p.m. — of that Tuesday. The unknown vehicle failed to negotiate a right turn onto West Salisbury Road and drove onto the front lawn of a West Salisbury Road home. The vehicle struck a 20-foot pine tree, uprooting it, and continued to gouge the front lawn in a sweeping right turn, spinning its wheels and continuing west on West Salisbury Road.
The witness stated that the driver of the SUV was a white male.
