He was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of William and Clara (Weininger) Malone.
BRANDON — Paul S. Pidgeon, 58, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2010, at his home in Brandon with family by his side.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon.
Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Leicester.

BRIDPORT — Jonathan Rogers Rutter, 53, passed away at his home in Bridport, Vermont, on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at Middlebury Congregation Church in Middlebury on Saturday, March 13, at 11 a.m. Immediately following the service there will be a reception at the St. Bernadette Parish Hall on Middle Road in Bridport.

ADDISON, Vt./ MEDFORD LAKES, N.J. — Elizabeth Ann “Bette” Wargo died unexpectedly on Monday, March 1, 2010, at the home of her daughter Barbara Buskey in Addison.
A Mass of Christian burial was held March 5 at St. Peter’s Church in Vergennes. Burial, along with a graveside service for her Philadelphia and Medford Lakes friends was at Old St. Andrew Cemetery in Newtown, Pa., on March 6.

MIDDLEBURY — Anna Louise Prahler Wilcox, 92, died March 4, 2010, at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.
Born Jan. 28, 1918, in Medina, N.Y., she was the daughter of Ilda and Joseph Prahler of Ridgeway, N.Y., and the second of six children.
She went from a two-room country school to receiving a master’s degree from State Teacher’s College in Albany, N.Y.
BENSON — Naomi Myrtle Briere, 87, died suddenly Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Porter Hospital in Middlebury.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church, Washington Street, Fair Haven, with the Rev. James A. Lawrence, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fair Haven.

DANBY — Marguerite Mary Washburn Davis, 87, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Georgia .
The funeral service “In Celebration of Her Life” was held Saturday, March 6, at the Mallory Funeral Home in Fair Haven. A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date, in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery in Center Rutland.

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Shirley Day, formerly of Shoreham, Vt., died at her home in Travelers Rest on March 4, 2010.

While a resident of Shoreham, she helped found the Shoreham Historical Society, and was an early United Way volunteer. She maintained a long-distance relationship with her Vermont community, knitting and donating hundreds of hats and mittens to the Christmas Shop.
VERGENNES — Wesley C. Bannister, 91, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, in Vergennes, at the home of his longtime friend and caregiver, Susan LaBerge, and her husband, Carl.

He was born in Huntington, March 27, 1918, the son of Wesley and Sadie (Rabtoy) Bannister.
