John Quesnel

BAREFOOT BAY, Fla. — John Louis Quesnel, 92, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Fla., after a courageous battle with emphysema.

There will be no calling hours and the service will be private.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1917, in Moose Creek, Ontario, Canada, to Blanche and Eli Quesnel. Shortly after his birth, the Quesnel family moved to Leicester, Vt.

Ina Jewell

MONKTON — Ina Jewell, 95, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. A reception followed at Monkton Central School. Interment will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Rescue Squad, PO Box 227, Bristol, VT 05443.

She was born July 13, 1914, in Jericho, the daughter of Quincy and Harriett (Burritt) Thurston.

Samuel Paretti

MIDDLEBURY — Samuel Paretti, 99, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at The Lodge in Middlebury. At his side were his daughter, Lynne Smaldone, his son, Michael Paretti, and his loving wife of 76 years, Francette.
