Editor’s note: This week’s writers are Kate Corrigan and Sebastian Miska, who started farming together in Ripton in 2006 and operate North Branch Farm & Gardens. Corrigan grew up in Shoreham, where her family raised their own eggs, pork and poultry; and Miska grew up in the Middlebury area and enjoyed frequent visits to family in Germany, where he developed an appreciation for pork charcuterie.
