Over the last two months, most of the United States and southern Canada have been locked into a “snow drought”, but for parts of Vermont, at least, some significant snow may be on the way.
MIDDLEBURY — An active group of area residents have a surefire way of making the cold days of winter more fun, exciting and engaging while also helping strengthen the community: racing in the Middlebury Ski Bum League.

As I type this blog post, there is not a bit of snow to be seen in East Middlebury.
December temperatures have mostly been above average in Addison County, but over the last week, nighttime temperatures in the low 20s have caused the formation of some beautiful ice formations on local rivers and streams.
