Route 125 from Middlebury until its intersection with Route 17 is approximately 20 miles long. It is one of the routes used for the annual Kelly Brush ride. Another smash up at 3:50 p.m. today at the Howard Dean Memorial Bridge at the road to West Lincoln. These preventable accidents give the state and local police, the fire department, the rescue squad and wrecker drivers a monthly opportunity to practice their skills. Thank God the coroner hasn’t been called yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

BRISTOL — The Mount Abraham Union High School broke through for two early goals and controlled most of the action in what could be a pivotal victory on Saturday, 2-1, over visiting Middlebury.

Other than scoring twice in their opener and then four times against 0-7 Missisquoi, the Eagles had scored once and been shut out three times in their other four outings.
