Tristan Sarad Dakshin Quinn
WHITING — Tristan Sarad Dakshin Quinn, age 17, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008. He was born in Madros, India, Jan. 24, 1991, and came to the United States on March 21, 1992.
Tristan grew up in Whiting and attended Whiting Elementary School and had completed his junior year at Otter Valley Union High School. Tristan was an avid soccer player throughout high school; he also enjoyed snowboarding, snowmobiling and his music. His real passion was his ATV and racing. Outside of school and sports he worked part time at McDonalds in Middlebury.
Tristan’s friendliness was infectious. He was known for his enormous circle of friends, which included family, classmates and the countless people who were fortunate to have known him.
Tristan is survived by his parents, Steve E. and Ann T. (McCormick) Quinn of Whiting; his brother, Cian P. Quinn of Whiting; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his grandparents, Guy and Bev Rosenquist of Killington and Surfside Beach, S.C.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Donald F. McCormick and Bernice (Layden) McCormick; and his grandfather, Francis Quinn.
The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life was held on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brandon. The celebrant was the Rev. Albert “Skip” Baltz. Graveside committal services and burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery, Brandon. A reception for family and friends followed the committal service at the family’s home in Whiting.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Whiting First Response, Whiting Fire Dept., Shoreham First Response or the Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller and Ketcham Funeral Home, Brandon.
