Margaret M. Sanchez
MIDDLEBURY — Margaret M. Sanchez, 40, of Middlebury died at Porter Hospital unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. She was born Oct. 6, 1967, in Daly City, Calif., the daughter of Jose Sanchez of Redwood City, Calif, and the late Elinor Sanchez of Middlebury.
After graduating from MUHS she earned degrees from both Randolph Macon Women’s College and George Mason University in Virginia. She taught elementary school in Virginia, Maine and Vermont.
She worked with several literacy programs with the schools and Ilsley Library. She also volunteered at the Ronald MacDonald house in Burlington. She was employed at Otter Creek Bakery. According to family she enjoyed making all kinds of international cuisines and sharing them with her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her children Mallory Pipich, Madelyn, Meilena and Marshall Sanchez, all of Middlebury; her sister and brother-in-law, Monica Sanchez Webb and Stephen Webb; a brother, Stephen Sanchez of Warren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of her life was held Sunday, April 20, at the Universal Unitarian Church in Middlebury. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, Orwell.

Roger Donald Beattie
BRANDON — Roger Donald Beattie, 74, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at the home of his care provider, Eileen McGee, in Brandon. He was born in South Londonderry on Sept. 1, 1933, the son of Raymond and Zoe (Gates) Beattie.
