 Ruth Ann Sears

VERGENNES — Ruth Ann Sears, 66, of Vergennes, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington.

Ruth Ann was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., on Nov. 29, 1942 and resided in Vergennes most of her life. Ruth Ann’s passions were her family and friends, cooking, fishing and watching her birds.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward Sears; a son, Charles Sears; a daughter, Christine Hayden; a brother, John Baker of Ferrisburgh; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Clarence Baker, and her mother, Ruth Baker.

Funeral services were held on Dec. 20 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vergennes. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 77 Hegeman Ave., Colchester, VT 05446, or the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 11, Vergennes, VT 05491.


James Robinson

BRANDON — James Robinson, 65, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Danbury, Conn., on Feb. 11, 1943, the son of James and Helen (Gillfoil) Robinson Sr.

He received his early education in local Danbury schools. He worked as a security guard at Green Security Service in Danbury for many years. He retired in 1989 due to a disability.

In 2006, he relocated from Adams, Mass., to Brandon.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Danylieko, of Orwell, and four grandchildren.

A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date in Adams, Mass.


William Levi “Billy” Reed Sr.

BRANDON — William Levi “Billy” Reed Sr., 74, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
