Letter to the editor: Unproductive 'tandem classrooms' lost in Mt. Abe plan

Posted on January 29, 2018 |
By Denise Dalton

Letter to the editor: All breeds of dog worthy of love

Posted on January 29, 2018 |
By Jessica Danyow

Letter to the editor: 'Shooting from the Hip' is an acronym for thorough hiring process

Posted on January 29, 2018 |
By Mathew Chabot

My name is Mathew Chabot, and I am a member of the Vergennes City Council.

During the first week of January I requested of Mayor Mike Daniels that the subject of starting a search for our next City Manager be placed on the agenda for the City Council meeting scheduled for Jan. 9, 2018. The purpose for that request was exactly in line with recent FPF comments that have arisen surrounding Mayor Daniels recent quotes in the Addison Independent.

MIDDLEBURY — It didn’t look promising for the Middlebury Union High School girls’ basketball team on Friday when visiting Mount Mansfield went on a 7-2 run in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter to lead by 43-36.

And if Tiger fans had known that senior standout Keagan Dunbar was going to score just six points the rest of the way, they would have been forgiven for thinking their team’s chances were slim — not to mention Dunbar began the quarter on the bench with four fouls.

But rally they did.
