MIDDLEBURY — Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR) was recently awarded an $8,000 grant from the Richard E. and Deborah L. Tarrant Foundation in Burlington, Vermont. These funds contribute towards the 20 percent local match requirements of a $2.85 million federal grant previously awarded to ACTR for the construction of the Addison County Community Transportation Center.
MIDDLEBURY — Coming into Saturday’s home game against 5-1 Skidmore, a Middlebury men’s basketball team with four returning starters from groups that earned four NCAA Division III berths carried a 7-0 record and the No. 3 ranking.
But the Panthers lacked a signature win despite their record, and their defense had not risen to the level of past seasons, when they have led the nation in field-goal percentage against.
ADDISON COUNTY — Starting in the fall of 2013 and running for two academic years, the Middlebury Union High School softball and girls’ basketball and soccer teams will return to Division II, according to recent Vermont Principals’ Association decisions.
