ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police alleged that a Starksboro woman became extremely drunk, drove a car into a fence and then drove away.

Troopers were notified on Oct. 22 at a little before 5 p.m. that a car driven by a woman had crashed into a fence at a Burt White Road home in Huntington and left the scene. State police investigated and determined that Eloise C. Pasho, 48, of Starksboro had been operating the vehicle in question.

They located Pasho near the scene and tested her blood alcohol; a preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.329 percent, which is four times the legal limit of 0.08. Police took Pasho into custody and cited her for driving under the influence, second offense; leaving the scene of an accident; and driving with a criminally suspended driver’s license.

In other recent activity, state police:

• On Oct. 19 at approximately 7:45 a.m. attempted to stop a car driven by Andrew Ollove, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y., on Route 17 in Buel’s Gore for a motor vehicle violation. After a pursuit of about five miles, Ollove pulled over the 2015 Nissan Sentra he was driving at the Jerusalem Country Store in Starksboro. Police cited him for attempting to elude a police officer.

• On Oct. 20 at around 3 p.m. looked into an assault complaint from a residence on Boro Hill Road in Monkton. State police said their investigation showed that Mark Holbrook II, 29, of Monkton had assaulted a household member. Troopers arrested Holbrook, charged him with second degree aggravated domestic assault and lodged him at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.

• On Oct. 20 at approximately 6:09 p.m. went to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Route 17 in Addison. Police reported that a 2007 Saab 93 driven by 20-year-old Angus Boisvert-Mackenzie of Shelburne rear-ended a 2004 Dodge truck driven by Lance M. Brown, 54, of Vergennes. The Saab sustained contact damage to the front engine compartment and hood; the truck sustained minor contact damage to the rear bumper. The trooper said Boisvert-Mackenzie was found to be at fault for the crash as he was following too closely.

• On the evening of Oct. 21 stopped a motor vehicle driven by Jose V. Garciadiaz on Panton Road in Panton. After a short investigation the officer determined that Garciadiaz, 24, of Vergennes, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The trooper conducted standard field sobriety exercises and then Garciadiaz submitted to a preliminary breath test, which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.096 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08. Garciadiaz was cited for DUI.

• On Oct. 22 at around 8 p.m. responded to the North Ferrisburgh Short Stop Mobil gas station for a reported theft. Police alleged that Alpine Bingham, 64, of Middlebury, arrived at the Mobil station intoxicated and attempted to purchase more alcohol. Bingham was not permitted to purchase more alcohol so he yelled at employees and stole a bottle of beer along with a coffee, police report. A trooper took Bingham into custody and transported him first to the New Haven state police barracks and then to the Act 1 detox center in Burlington, where he spent the remainder of the evening. State police cited Bingham for retail theft and disorderly conduct.
