Cornwall board to seek feedback on solar policy

<p> CORNWALL &mdash; The Cornwall selectboard will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 11, to get residents&rsquo; feedback on a hotly debated solar project being pitched off West Street and to weigh in on the broader topic of how the community should entertain future solar proposals.</p><p> The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Cornwall Town Hall.</p><p> It will start with a presentation from SunCommon about a proposed 150kW solar array that the company is seeking to build on a portion of the Stephen Payne property at 2838 West St. The project would feature 660 solar panels serving around 30 families through the company&rsquo;s &ldquo;Community Solar&rdquo; program, according to R.J. Adler, coordinator of SunCommon&rsquo;s Addison County projects.</p><p> The meeting will be opened up to questions, comments and concerns from the general public about the West Street project and the future of solar energy in Cornwall. This conversation will include, but will not be limited to, the location of solar arrays, site planning and screening options.</p>
